  • 300 grams U.S. Frozen Potatoes (Straight or Crinkle Cut)
  • 1-liter chicken stock or purified water
  • A few pieces of pickled dried mustard/radish leaves (optional)
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 5 pieces green chilies
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Coriander leaves, chopped

Preparation
Prep Time: 10min | Cook Time: 10min

  1. Cut the frozen U.S. potatoes into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Slice the ginger and cut them into small sticks.
  3. Roughly grind the garlic and green chilies. Cut the tomato and onion into small pieces.
  4. When the chicken stock (or purified water) starts to boil, add the onion and tomato pieces and let them boil for about 3 minutes. Add the U.S. potato cubes, ginger, and garlic. Boil for another 2 minutes.
  5. Finally, add the pickled dried mustard/radish leaves and green chilies and boil for another 1 minute. Turn off the heat.
  6. Add the lime juice and salt to taste. 
  7. Sprinkle some coriander leaves then the refreshing Sour & Spicy Potato Soup is ready to be served.

Note: If you can’t find pickled dried mustard/radish leaves in your area, you can leave it out or replace it with any kind of dried pickled leaves.
