U.S. Fries with Seafood and Vegetables Mala Xiang Guo

  • 300 grams : U.S. Sidewinders or your preferred cuts
  • 3 cloves : Garlic
  • 10 pieces : Dried chilies (soaked and cut into small pieces)
  • 1 packet : Instant mala sauce
  • 4 teaspoons : Light soy sauce
  • 200 grams : Seafood (prawns, squid, etc.)
  • 200 grams : Carrots
  • 50 grams : Broccoli
  • 50 grams : Cauliflower
  • 30 grams : Peanuts
  • 100 grams : Noodles (Blend ready)
  • 10 : Quail Eggs
  • 50 grams : Lotus Roots
  • 30 grams : Mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon : Sesame seeds
  • 1 No’s : Sweet Com (Blanched so it would be tender)
  • For garnishing : Coriander leaves


1. Warm up a wok or a large frying pan over medium high heat. Add garlic and stir fry it until
2. Add the seafood and stir-fry for another minute. When it becomes drier, add all the vegetables
and continue to stir fry it
3. When all the potatoes, vegetables and seafood are cooked, add the fried potatoes, noodles and
pour in the mala sauce
4. Immediately stir fry the potatoes & noodles for 1-2 minutes
5. Add the peanuts, sesame seeds and continue tossing. Test for seasoning and add more soy
sauce until desired flavor is reached
6. Toss and mix in the ingredients together
7. After placing all the ingredients on a plate, top with a generous amount of fresh coriander, dried
chili, peanuts, sesame seeds, and fried garlic.
