U.S. Potato Hash Brown Rounds with Baked Salsa

  • U.S. frozen hash brown rounds - 4 cups
  • Taco seasoning - 4 teaspoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 
  • Chunky salsa - 3 ½ cups
  • Tomato sauce - ½ cup
  • Shredded mix cheddar cheese - 3 cups
  • Parmesan cheese powder - ½ cup
  • Parsley or cilantro, to garnish

Preparation
Prep Time: 5min | Cook Time: 20min

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the oven to  180 °C. Coat a baking dish with some non-stick spray.
  2. Toss the U.S. Frozen Hash Brown Rounds in olive oil to lightly coat them. Sprinkle the potatoes with the taco seasoning .
  3. Spread about 1 ½ cup of salsa and ½ cup of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 ½ cup of shredded mix cheddar cheese and some Parmesan cheese powder. Sprinkle with some salt and pepper to taste. 
  4. Arrange the U.S. potatoes on top of the salsa and add the remaining salsa over the U.S. potatoes, making sure to cover all pieces. 
  5. Bake the dish uncovered for 15 minutes. 
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with some cheese.
  7. Bake for 3 to 4 more minutes ,or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro and sprinkle with some Parmesan cheese powder.
